Alcohol Abuse Treatment

Overcoming alcohol abuse is difficult—but you don't have to go through it alone. Depend on the experienced and compassionate team at My Hope 2020 for alcohol abuse treatment in New York, NY. We work together with you to come up with a personalized treatment plan with the goal of eliminating your alcohol dependency. Please note that every part of your treatment is confidential and voluntary. Call today for more information about the program.

The Treatment Process

It all starts with a phone call! When you're ready, simply contact us to speak with our intake coordinator. We'll verify your insurance and schedule an appointment for your pre-admission assessment. Please note that this assessment is mandatory for admission into the program.

Next, we confer with our supervising agency, OASAS, to determine if our services constitute the right level of care for you as an individual. After OASAS confirms your admission, we determine your level of therapy, refer you to an alcohol abuse counselor, and assign you to a therapy group.

The next step is an appointment for your medical/psychiatric assessment. During this assessment, you meet with a psychiatrist who completes a more in-depth evaluation to determine if you have a history of psychiatric disorders.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

If determined during your assessment that you require any medications, they will be administered as part of your MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment). For as long as you are enrolled in the program, you will receive the psychiatric treatment you require.

We offer a variety of medications, including Vivitrol, to help you through your alcohol abuse treatment. Once medication has begun, the average person attends our clinic three times per week for treatment and therapy sessions. All sessions are run by a counselor and may be either individual or with your therapy group. Treatment typically lasts between 3-16 months, depending on the patient's unique circumstances.

As part of our treatment program, we also offer DUI and DWI assessments and treatments.
